FAQS

WHAT IS CJAS?

CJAS is a sexual health and education centre exclusively for young people that offers free professional support and services in the areas of sexual health, sexuality and relationships. We provide judgement-free, unbiased professional advice and care from a feminist perspective, and work to ensure your sexual rights are protected and guaranteed. We are an NGO that offers a public and universal service.

WHO DOES CJAS PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO?

Teenagers and young people up to the age of 25. There is no lower age limit. Everyone and anyone are welcome regardless of their origin, race, legal situation, sex, gender, sexual orientation… Everyone has rights!

WILL I HAVE TO PAY?

No. You’ll never have to pay for any of our services.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT THE SERVICE IS CONFIDENTIAL?

This means that nobody will find out about your visit to CJAS and everything that you share with our professionals will stay between you and them.  As we like to say… “Everything that happens in CJAS, stays in CJAS”. Our clinic’s medical records are not shared with other centres, which means that no other doctor or medical professional will know you’ve been attended in CJAS nor why you came. If we are required to tell your parent(s) guardian(s) or other professionals about your visit, we will only do so once we’ve talked it through with you first.

DO I NEED TO BRING I.D OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS?

It’s not necessary but we may ask for your Health Card if you want a pharmacy prescription or for other reasons.

I'M UNDER-AGE- DO I HAVE TO COME WITH SOMEONE?

No. Come alone, or bring whoever you want. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable. We will always attend you.

CAN I COME WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT?

Well, it depends on your query or the type of service you need. You can come without an appointment if you need the morning after pill or for pregnancy tests. For other issues, prior appointment preferable (93 415 10 00).
